Subsea 7 wins BG job at Knarr:
Subsea 7 has scooped a $400 million contract from BG for the development project at the Knarr field off Norway.
The contractor is to provide engineering, procurement, construction and installation services at the project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
This includes installation of a 4.5-kilometre flowline, umbilicals and flexible riser systems as well as various other subsea structures and installations.
Engineering and procurement work is to begin immediately with offshore operations set to be carried out between the summer of 2013 and spring of 2014.
